About Us

Crafty started with a simple obsession: building reliable off-grid electrical systems that actually make sense in the real world, not just on paper.

What began as tinkering and personal builds before COVID has grown into a full-time business built around doing things properly, helping people get it right the first time, and making campervan electrics less confusing than they often are.

We’re based between Liverpool, where I grew up, and Cornwall, where a lot of our mobile installation work now happens. Those two bases keep us connected to both ends of the country and allow us to cover a wide area for installations and support.

At the heart of Crafty, there are three things we do really well.

We supply high-quality electrical parts through our online shop, working directly with trusted brands like Victron, Fogstar, Roamer, Dometic, and others. These are products we genuinely use in our own installs, not just items we list and forget about.

We install full electrical systems on the road across Liverpool and Cornwall. From simple leisure setups to full off-grid campervan builds, everything is tailored properly to how you actually use your vehicle, not a one-size-fits-all kit.

And for the DIY builders, this is where things get really hands-on. We create detailed wiring diagrams, step-by-step installation guides, and offer real aftercare support while you’re doing the install. If you’re stuck mid-build, you’re not left guessing or trawling forums, you can actually get hold of us and get it sorted.

When we’re not on the road fitting systems or meeting customers, we’re back in the office designing setups, writing guides, processing orders, updating the shop, and developing new system options based on real customer needs.

Crafty is run by me, Tommy. I handle the online shop, customer orders, product sourcing, wiring diagrams, installation guides, and I’m also out doing installations in both Liverpool and Cornwall. I also look after the marketing side of the business, which comes from my background before moving into campervan electrics.

I’m supported by my partner Ellie, who helps keep everything moving behind the scenes, and every now and then you’ll spot our cocker spaniel Milo making an appearance too.

At the end of the day, Crafty isn’t trying to be the biggest name in the industry. It’s built to be the most useful one to deal with. Real installs, real support, and systems designed by someone who actually fits them.
